Happy New Year!

Today marks the 5th day of the brand New Year, 2018. You don’t have to worry, if you’ve had a mishap already just remember that you are only human, you’re not perfect and you have exactly 360 days to achieve all that you have planned to do this year. It is somewhat of a worldwide tradition to start the New Year with a ‘New Year, New Me’ mentality but honestly this isn’t the same for me. I have a lot that I want to achieve this year and I have recently learned that until you wake up every day feeling motivated about your goals and continue to see the bigger picture, you are never going to go the extra mile and you’re never going to be the best you that you can be.

If you haven’t already, why not spend this year building yourself? Find out what your passions are and what your mission in life is, it really doesn’t matter how young you are. While you continue to grow as an individual this year, it doesn’t hurt to do your part in giving back to your community/society. What I love about giving is that it does not have to be something tangible; you can contribute to nation building simply by giving your time.

Kudos to all the Junior Broadcasters from the KiDz HuB Media Network from across the world who continue to give their time ensuring that the voices of young people across the world are heard. And a big thanks to all our KiDz HuB Sponsors for your continuous support. I would like to mention organizations such as Talk Up Yout, The National Secondary Students Council, Dream Jamaica, Youth Can DO IT and The H.A.L.O Society here in Jamaica that are giving back to the nations people in their own unique way.

This year has many surprises for each and every one of you, it has many obstacles and challenges disguised as blessings but you won’t be able to see it if you don’t look. If you are not willing to endure the pain today, you will miss your chance of a once in a lifetime opportunity tomorrow. If you want to achieve it, write it down, stay motivated and work hard.
